Terms
Cairn is a personal project, run by one person and shared with people he knows. Reading these takes a minute because there isn't much to say.
What you can expect
- It's free, and there is no plan to charge for it. There are no ads and nothing is sold or shared — see the privacy page.
- No uptime promise. It runs on hobby-tier hosting, it can be down, and it can lose data in a way a real service wouldn't. Don't keep anything here you'd be upset to lose — your Steam library is the source of truth, not Cairn.
- Recommendations are a model's guess about what fits your mood. They're occasionally silly. Nothing here is advice about anything that matters.
What's expected of you
- Use your own Steam account, and don't try to reach other people's data.
- Don't hammer it. It talks to the Steam, IGDB and SteamSpy APIs on shared rate limits; automating against it spoils it for everyone using the same budget.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which erases everything of yours immediately. Access can also be withdrawn — this is an invite-shaped thing, not a public utility. If Cairn is ever shut down, accounts and their data go with it.

Cairn is not affiliated with Valve, Steam, IGDB or SteamSpy. Game data and artwork belong to their owners; Cairn just arranges it for you.
